Our Birthday Bash for Dad!

Monday night, we had a little party for Shaun's Birtday after work. He had a long, busy day at work and was happy to see we were thinking about him! Meme and Pepe came over to our house and we ate yummy fresh bread, and

Shaun's favorite, Lasagna!

Then Shaun opened his Birthday presents. Christopher was so excited because he went shopping with Pepe this past weekend and picked out a Blue MagLight Flashlight with tons of batteries! Great choice Christopher!!!

He also got a big box of Baseball cards!

It doesn't matter if you are 34 years old or almost 6 years old, every boy likes baseball cards! :)

Then we sat down for dessert! The cake was decorated by Christopher and Anneli,

and there was a Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory! Another of Shaun's favorite things to eat!!

What a great way for Shaun to end his stressful, crazy day at work! :)

Happy Birthday Shaun!!

Happy Birthday to my best friend, and the best Dad ever!We hope you have a great day!

6th Birthday Bowling Party!

On Saturday, we had 12 first graders attend Christopher's Bowling Birthday Party! It was a lot of fun! There were good friends, bowling, pizza, cheeseburgers, fruit punch, more bowling, ice cream cake, presents and did I mention Anakin Skywalker bowling!?!

What a great day with friends!

Cub Scout Police Station Tour!

On Tuesday, December 9th, (yes I'm behind in blogging!) Shaun planned a tour of the Police Station in town for his Tiger Den. The kids, and parents too, had a blast. The kids couldn't wait to go in the 'Jail'. As many of you know, First Grade boys can be a little loud and a bit hyper. It was funny, when they got to the jail, they were silent, yes silent! Christopher & Anneli smiling in the holding cell!

Another funny moment happend when Office Connoy was showing the kids what was in the trunk of a Cruiser. He pulled out flares, and one of the Cub Scouts yelled, "WOW--there's dynamite back there!" What a fun activity!

Thanks to our Den Leader, Shaun, for planning such a super fun activity and a big
Thanks to Office Connoy for the tour and all you do for our town! :)

Another Wild Weekend Here--first bit of **snow**!

This weekend went by soooo fast! On Saturday, Shaun left a little after eight in the morning to meet up with some guys from work. They were all going to the last home game of the UCONN Husky Football team. At first I was a little disappointed that I wasn't going to be going with him, but it was SUPER COLD, and the Huskies lost big time to the University of Pittsburgh!

While he was off freezing with his associates, Christopher and Anneli had their last swimming lesson for this session! They both did a great job this session--WAY TO GO GUYS--Christopher in level 2 and Anneli in Tiny Tots. Poor Christopher will repeat Level 2 again next session, but Anneli passed into Level 1! Way to go Anneli! Christopher did an awesome job too, he just needs to practice swimming longer distances! Keep up the hard work, both of you!

After swimming, we ran over to Meme & Pepe's house where 'Soup' Mem and Ray were visiting Pepe. She came up to see her sister-in-law who is in the hospital and Pepe, who just had his gallbladder out last week. It was nice to see them!

Christopher and I then skipped out after lunch to pick up his Trail's End Popcorn that he sold for Cub Scouts. YES, Aunt Jess, that big white box (4.5lbs) that he is holding is yours!! Thought you got something small?!? We'll get it to you soon! :)

The rest of the afternoon was spent hanging out at Meme and Pepe's house. The kids were pretty happy because they got to go with Meme to bring Aunt Valerie to the train so she could go to New York City to visit Johann. They were pretty excited that they got to actually go on the train. Super fun!

On Sunday morning, we awoke to a little **SNOW** on the gro. They kids were pretty excited--even if it wasn't much! Here is a picture of the kids in their church clothes checking out the real first snow fall of the season!

Weekends are always super fun around here! :) Only a few more until Christmas!!
