Where did the summer go....

The summer is quickly coming to a close. We had a very busy summer! It all started with our trip to Lake Wallenpaupack in Hawley, Pennsylvania in late June. It was a fun week with Meme, and Aunt Valerie. Shaun and Pepe were busy at work so they were only able to spend the weekend with us.

Then a week or so later we (Pepe, Memere, Christopher, Anneli and I) met Jess (my sister) and her sons; Cole and Carter (my nephews) in Virginia. We stayed at Massanutten Resort just outside the Shenandoah Nation Park. It was a fun and crazy week with four kids under five! Shaun was working and so was my brother-in-law Nick. The kids had a blast hiking in the woods, touring a cavern, swimming, and of course the Wild Animal Safari! Anneli is still talking about the "animals in Meme's van's window". Then on our way home with Pepe (Meme went home with Jess, Cole & Carter to South Carolina) we saw a BEAR in the Park right by Dickey Ridge/Fox Hollow where we had hiked two days before!! Boy were we glad we didn't see him as we were hiking!

The rest of the summer we filled with Swimming Lessons,karate, playing school, swimming at Meme's pool or the town pool, gymnastics, day camp, trips to Lake Compounce, hanging out with Meme, visiting family and the ocean in Maine/New Hampshire, the balloon festival, renovating our Bathroom, and other fun little things here and there! It was a fun, go go summer!
