This weekend was a little rainy, but it didn't put a damper on our weekend! We,
Anneli, Valerie and I, attended our cousin Meagans Bridal Shower in Gardner, Massachusetts. It was a long two and a half hour ride int he rain, but Anneli had fun sitting next to Aunt Val and watching The Little Mermaid. It was cute to see Anneli hold Aunt Valerie's hand during the scary parts. (In the picture below, Aunt Valerie was asleep but Anneli still had a hold her finger pretty tight!) Heck, the Little Mermaid is really scary kid movie! Most of the Disney girl movies are!
It was great to see our cousins and aunts on my mother's side, the party was fun, and the food (brunch) was super yummy! Anneli had fun too playing with her cousins! We played one game that was fun for the adults as well as the kids. We were broken up in different groups and given one simple roll of toilet paper. We then had to choose a "bride" and then design and dress her in a wedding gown made of toilet paper. Here is a picture of all the "brides".
My mother on the end was pretty silly looking, but the little kids had a total blast wrapping her in toilet paper! Anneli kept saying, "That's not nice mommy, right?" I told her she could do it here, but not at home! I don't trust her though, I've been keeping a close eye on our toilet paper!! :)
I think that Valerie's dress was pretty awesome! Our cousin Chippie is one heck of a designer!
We are looking forward to her wedding on April 12....a fabulous month to get married I must say, since April 15th will be 8 years for Shaun and I! Oh my, time flies when you are having fun! :)
