Anneli and her Best Friend

Since school started almost a month ago, Anneli has been rather attached to a little stuffed white kitty. She named her 'White Kitty', which was quite fitting until now--she's sort of looking a little gray! Her and 'White Kitty' are inseparable!

They've gone to the dentist together. (notice how white, White Kitty is!)

Another Whirlwind Weekend Here!

Saturday morning we were up and out early for swimming lessons! Christopher had his swimming lesson first at 10AM.

Anneli sat with Dad waiting her turn very patiently.
Then Anneli had swimming lessons.

While I watched Anneli swim, Shaun got Christopher dressed and raced him off to his soccer game at the park.
After swim lessons were over, Anneli and I headed over to the park to watch Christopher play soccer. Anneli was happy to find Meme and Pepe already there watching! Thanks Meme & Pepe for coming!
After the soccer game, we headed off to the Berlin Fair with Meme and Pepe. One highlight for the kids is parking at Corbin Russwin and taking the School Bus to the fair grounds! They love riding the bus!


We had a great time at the fair!


The kids even got to pat a little black chick. Anneli would have loved to take it home...

Sunday morning Christopher woke up with a little cough and a fever. He had complained of a sore throat on Friday, but he was okay (maybe a little cranky) on Saturday--we thought. We took it easy on Sunday watching our church's semiannual General Conference on television at Meme and Pepe's house. It was a nice lazy Sunday. Christopher started feeling better later in the evening, so he and I played a fun game of Monopoly before bedtime. We played with a time limit and he beat me with more property and more money!!! Way to go Chris!!!

Good Old "Insurance Capital of the World"

We've been driving to and through Hartford a lot lately as we drop off or pick up Aunt Valerie at Union Place. She takes the bus from Hartford to New York City to visit Johann. Anyways, today while we were taking the loop through the city to get back on the highway I heard Anneli's little voice in the back say, "This is a bad, bad, bad place Mommy. Look at all the broken houses and buildings. Let's go home!" I like her was anxious to get home.

Everything is going wrong today...

Poor Anneli...she's having a rough day.

She just keeps saying and crying, "Everything is going wrong today."

But she can still smile for the camera!!!!

Pumpkin Playgroup!

Our Church Playgroup is held on the first Thursday of the month and is held at our church building in Canton. It's only once a month because everyone has such crazy schedules. So today we had a 'Pumpkin Playgroup' for the little ones. Anneli and I have been talking about it and planning it for about a week. She couldn't wait to have a 'pumpkin party'. I hope everyone had a lot of fun!! I know Anneli did!

We read "Pumpkin Heads!" written and illustrated by Wendell Minor.

We played Throw the Ball or Pumpkin in the Pumpkin!

We played Pumpkin Bowling.

We had a 'Five Little Pumpkin' felt activity and then did a 'Five Little Pumpkin' Craft.

Then we enjoyed a yummy Pumpkin Cookie!

Finally the kids got all our energy out in the Church's Gymnasium, as Mom's chatted and enjoyed each other's company.
