This morning Christopher & I had dentist appointments to have our teeth cleaned. He loves the dentist and was so excited to go and show Dr. Nadeau that he lost the two teeth that she said were loose last time and he had two big teeth in their place!
First, the dental hygenist looked at his teeth and then told us that she was hoping to take some cool pictures of his teeth. He sat soooooo very still while she took his very first x-ray. I was so proud of him! He did an awesome job--he didn't move a bit or even choke! When Dr. Nadeau came in the room he was so excited to show her his x-rays. She then told him that she was excited for him because he has four more loose teeth and two really nice new bottom teeth and in the way back were his six year old molars and those are teeth he will have forever---as long as he continues to do an awesome job brushing and flossing them! It made him think and he was SOOOOOO proud!
After that the two of us went on a date to Friendly's for lunch before he went off to school. (Thanks Aunty Valerie for watching Anneli!) I am so proud of him. He is getting to be such a big guy. I still can't believe that he turned 5 years old in December and already has his 6 year old molars, two new grown-up teeth, and four more loose teeth! They sure do grow up so fast! I am so greatful that I am able to stay home with Christopher and Anneli and experience their childhood firsthand. I don't want to miss a second of it!! As Benjamin Franklin said, "Lost time is never found again."
