The word for today is SLOPPY!
Ice and freezing rain follwed an overnight snowstorm which caused school closures, power outages all around Connecticut. However, I was one of the lucky ones--Christopher had school today! YIPPEE! It was just slushy when he left for school on the bus and then it was pouring like cRaZy when Anneli and I picked him up after school! What a mess--the icy, cold water on Linden Street was almost up to my ankles! The kids hated it because we were SOAKED when we got home; I thought they would like sloshing through the stream like puddles. Fun, fun, fun!
