Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend was a very nice easy going weekend! On Saturday morning we slept in until 8am, since swimming lessons are over and there was no soccer game! It sure felt good! Then we hung out together, went to the mall, and planted our garden. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a blast playing in the dirt! I was just glad to get our vegetable plants out of my kitchen window!!

Christopher grew this green bean plant at school. He brought it home and 'Wink', our kitty, ate all the leaves. **Check out the big bean on the bottom!**

Our planted garden!

Here's 'Wink' watching us from the house.

On Sunday, we went to church, came home and had a cookout with Aunt Valerie. (Sorry no pics!) The kids and 'Wink' enjoyed having Aunt Val over! Thanks for coming Aunt Val!! Then we laid around and watched Enchanted. I'm not much of a movie fan, but I can't believe I have never seen it before! What a super cute movie!! Okay, I admit, I like Patrick Dempsey...

On Monday, we were up bright and early so we could march in our towns Memorial Day Parade! Christopher and Shaun were marching with the Cub Scouts, so Anneli and I joined in! They both did a great job! Anneli watched the beginning of the parade with Meme and Pepe, then she joined in and marched with the Cub Scouts, then she found Meme and Pepe toward the end of the parade and she watched the rest of the parade with them! Thanks Meme and Pepe!! :)

After the parade, we let Meme and Pepe sleep, since they had been up all night driving from visiting Jess, Nick, Cole and Carter in South Carolina, and then we had a cookout with them! While we were there, Christopher played with a boy in the neighborhood and Anneli went roller blading with Meme. (Sorry I have no pictures of this! I left my camera home!)

It was a great weekend of family time! I treasure these weekends when we just hang out together and have fun. They are growing so fast and the memories we make are special.
