Wild 'n Wacky Water Fun!

After puttering around the house this morning, we headed off to Meme's house for lunch with Meme & Aunt Valerie. Shortly after lunch, the kids swam in the pool, helped Meme clean up the little slide and basketball, had a blast with the slip and slide and finished off by dunking their heads in buckets of water!! We had tons of WATER FUN!!!!

A Bowlerific Day!

This is the first day of the first week of summer where the kids aren't scheduled for swimming lessons or camp! YIPPEE!! I have to admit, I was looking forward to not running all around and being able to do fun things with Christopher and Anneli.

We started things off with baths. Here's a picture of Anneli laying flat in the tub. That's a big deal for her because she usually hates putting her ears under! Way to go Anneli!

Then we had lunch and off we went. Bet you can't guess where we went??



You are right! We went BOWLING! It was a lot of fun. Christopher bowled a 76, Anneli a 63, and I bowled a 120. Not too bad!


After bowling we went home, did some laundry, cleaned up the playroom/craft room and waited for Dad to come home. As soon as Dad came home, off we went again to the New Britain Rock Cats game against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. It was a lot of fun--even though there was a heavy down pour for about 5 minutes! The kids enjoyed getting their pictures taken with the mascotts and getting their autographs on their hat they got at the door. What a fun day!

This photo is from Saturday at Swarovski Crystal---I wrote on Saturday that I didn't have any pics from our shopping excursion, but I do have a picture! Nick, my brother in law sent it to me last night.

Breaking Dawn

I was up sick last night, so Shaun took the kids to Church and I slept in and finished my new book that came out Saturday, Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. What a great series! I just wish I didn't read them all so fast...

Crazy Cousin Day!

Today we started out with breakfast with the family, Meme, Pepe, Aunt Valerie, Jess, Nick, Cole, Carter, Grandpa Mansfield, Grandma Mansfield, Shaun, Christopher, Anneli and I, at The Oasis. We always go there for breakfast when Jess and Nick are visiting. Then we headed off to a New England favorite, LLBean. Here are a few pictures of the four CrAzY Cousins sitting outside LLBean on their Classic Adirondack Chair. Definately a favorite with my kids!

Then we headed over to Anthropologie and then over to another New England favorite, Stonewall Kitchen! While at Stonewall Kitchen I had to buy my favorite Maple Chipotle Sauce. I also bought their very popular Wild Maine Blueberry Jam and Honey Barbecue Sauce. YUMMMMMY! While we were out and about Soup Mem and Ray called and said they were on the way to see Jess, Nick and the kids! So we venutred home to enjoy some lunch with them. It was great to see you guys!In order to get a nice picture....

Later that evening, Jess, Nick, Shaun and I took off to visit Valerie at Swarovski. We had fun trying on beautiful Crystal necklaces, bracelets and rings. I wish we had pictures, we had a super fun time visiting Valerie. What a fun place to work! Then we headed off to West Hartford and ate dinner on the roof patio at the Elbow Room An American Joint. What a fun evening! Thanks Meme & Pepe for watching the kids!

A lesson learned from a 3 year old in trouble!

UGH! All I wanted to get done while Christopher was at camp was my RS Newsletter! Is that too much to ask!?? Well, it was. While I was at the computer, Anneli was in the bathroom going "you know what". Anyways, I heard the toilet flush twice and then I heard water flowing! I jumped up as she entered the office..."the toilet" she yelled! I raced in and sure enough the toiled was overflowing due to probably a half roll of toilet paper. UGH! I so didn't have time for this! Her "clogging wipe" wasn't very successful , so I cleaned her up and stuck her in the tub as I unclogged the toilet and mopped up the floor and sanitized it. All the while, I was not a happy mommy! Then as I was working and sputtering to myself, my sweet little Anneli started singing, "I am a Child of God, and he has sent me here, has given me an earthly home with parents kind and dear." Awwww!!!! At that moment I was humbled and felt real bad. She was helping me trying to wipe her own little bum so I could get my work done...it wasn't her fault that her trying to help me caused me a ton of work! Oh well, but I now have a sparkling clean bathroom and a finished RS Newsletter! Thanks Anneli!
